Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Classic Car Show Finder app (the “App”) or visiting classiccarshowfinder.com (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The App and Website are owned and operated by Brown Technical Services LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), a Michigan limited liability company. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the App. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Accounts

Some features of the App require an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your password and account
Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account
Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You may use certain features without an account, including browsing events, viewing the map, searching, and viewing event details. An account is required to save favorites, write reviews, mark “Going,” upload photos, check in at events, and participate in the Evolution System.

4. Subscription Tiers

4.1 Spectator (Free)

The Spectator tier provides access to core features at no cost, including event browsing, search, favorites, reviews, and the Evolution System. The free tier includes advertisements displayed within the App.

4.2 Pit Pass (Paid Subscription)

The Pit Pass tier provides additional features including ad-free experience, early access to new events, push notifications, GPS-verified check-ins with digital dash plaques, event photo uploads, unlimited garage photos, and event submission. Pit Pass is available as a monthly or annual subscription.

4.3 Event Pro (Paid Subscription)

The Event Pro tier includes everything in Pit Pass plus organizer-specific features including an event analytics dashboard, lifetime analytics, and organizer titles in the Evolution System. Event Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription.

4.4 Billing and Cancellation

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. By subscribing, you agree to the payment terms of the applicable store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s subscription management settings (Apple Settings or Google Play). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you retain access to paid features until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google, as they process all payments.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we increase prices, we will provide advance notice through the App or by email. Price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after the notice period. You may cancel before the price change takes effect.

4.6 Feature Availability

Some features listed for Pit Pass and Event Pro tiers may be marked as “coming soon” and are not yet available. We will work to deliver these features but do not guarantee specific launch dates. Your subscription provides access to all currently available features for your tier.

5. User Content

5.1 Content You Post

You are responsible for all content you submit, post, or upload through the App, including reviews, photos, event submissions, and profile information (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant Brown Technical Services LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content within the App and for promotional purposes related to the App.

5.2 Content Standards

You agree that your User Content will not:

Contain false, misleading, or intentionally inaccurate information
Contain hate speech, threats, harassment, or discriminatory language
Contain sexually explicit, obscene, or violent material
Infringe on any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
Contain spam, advertising, or promotional material unrelated to car events
Impersonate another person or entity
Contain personal information of others without their consent

5.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any User Content at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Photos are automatically screened using Google Cloud Vision for inappropriate content. Content that violates these Terms or our community standards may be removed and may result in account suspension or termination.

5.4 Review Integrity

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience at an event. You may only review events you have attended. The App may indicate whether a reviewer has a GPS-verified check-in for the event being reviewed (“verified attendee” badge). Posting fake, paid, or incentivized reviews is prohibited and may result in account termination.

6. Evolution System and Gamification

6.1 XP and Tiers

The Evolution System awards XP (experience points) for activities within the App, such as attending events, writing reviews, and confirming community tags. XP contributes to your tier level, which unlocks titles and visual badges. XP and tiers have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, traded, or transferred, and do not constitute property of any kind.

6.2 Digital Dash Plaques

Pit Pass and Event Pro subscribers can earn digital dash plaques by completing GPS-verified check-ins at events. Dash plaques are digital collectibles displayed within the App. They have no monetary value, cannot be sold or transferred outside the App, and are tied to your account. Dash plaques are deleted if you delete your account.

6.3 Leaderboards

The App includes seasonal and all-time leaderboards. Your display name and tier information may be visible on leaderboards to other users. We reserve the right to remove users from leaderboards who are found to be gaming the system or violating these Terms.

6.4 Fair Play

Attempting to manipulate the Evolution System through fraudulent check-ins, automated activity, multiple accounts, or any other means is prohibited. We reserve the right to reset XP, revoke badges, remove dash plaques, and suspend or terminate accounts that engage in unfair practices.

7. GPS Check-Ins

GPS check-ins require you to be physically present within 500 meters of the event venue during the event’s scheduled time (with a 30-minute buffer before and after). Check-ins are limited to a maximum of 3 per 24-hour period. The check-in system relies on your device’s GPS hardware and may be affected by signal accuracy, building interference, or device settings. We are not responsible for check-in failures due to GPS inaccuracy.

8. Event Information

8.1 Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure event information in the App is accurate and up to date. However, event details (dates, times, locations, descriptions) are sourced from event organizers, community submissions, and public sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any event information. Events may be cancelled, rescheduled, or changed without our knowledge.

8.2 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for verifying event details before attending, especially for events that require travel. We recommend checking with the event organizer directly for the most current information. We are not responsible for any costs, damages, or inconvenience resulting from inaccurate event information.

8.3 Event Submissions

Events submitted by users are reviewed before publication. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or modify submitted events at our discretion. Submission of an event does not guarantee it will be listed in the App.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Property

The App, Website, and all content, features, functionality, design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks are owned by Brown Technical Services LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. “Classic Car Show Finder,” the crosshair logo, and related marks are trademarks of Brown Technical Services LLC.

9.2 Your License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the App or any part of it.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other accounts, or our systems
Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or interact with the App
Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure or other users’ use of the App
Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, manipulate the Evolution System, or evade bans
Attempt to spoof GPS location for fraudulent check-ins
Harvest or collect other users’ personal information
Use the App to send spam or unsolicited communications
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or the App, or is otherwise objectionable. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your own account at any time through the Settings screen.

12. Disclaimers

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY EVENT INFORMATION, REVIEWS, RATINGS, OR OTHER CONTENT IN THE APP. YOUR USE OF THE APP AND RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION IN THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BROWN TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE APP
ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE APP
INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR OUTDATED EVENT INFORMATION
UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT OR DATA

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY DOLLARS ($50), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Brown Technical Services LLC, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wayne County, Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.

17. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Brown Technical Services LLC regarding the App.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
